1. Take a survey of the system
· Benches/shelters at bus stops along a particular route or in a particular neighborhood. Find out who is responsible for maintaining shelters if not in good condition.
· Train station
· Buses along a route or on a particular day
· Trains on a certain line or day
2. Have a phone bank party
· Call CfPT volunteers to tell them about an upcoming event or meeting
· Call your friends and ask them to Try Transit one day a week
3. Transitory Images Film Contest
· Send your PSA or short film with a transit them to progressivetransit@gmail.com. 30 second PSA or 2-5 minute short film on transit.
4. Pass out postcards to raise awareness
· Take them to an event, pass them out on the train or bus, or keep them on your desk at work.
5. Advocate for greater awareness and support among public officials
· Contact your representatives to talk about transit needs in your area.
· Invite a speaker or public official to a meeting.
6. Organize a Try Transit day for your friends, business, church, neighborhood, event, or organization.
7. Attend a meeting.
· Third Sunday of every month fixed date, speakers scheduled as needed.
8. Newsletter
· Write an article
· Help with layout, printing, and mailing
